Drone encounters
The conventional explanation, broadcast alongside the Saint John sighting it explained.

An object over Saint John, New Brunswick, near the Irving Oil refinery, left one man shaken. CBC's own report paired it with the drone explanation - the media's default reading.
The sighting landed in the middle of a busy refinery district, which is exactly the situation in which commercial drones and aircraft are common and a witness is likely to be told what they saw.
CBC's package included a video segment on drone encounters, which is the useful part: the mainstream explanation was available the same morning.
It is included here as a case file because it shows the modern reporting pattern - witness, video, conventional explanation within 24 hours - that the 1967 files never got.
