What Canada actually broadcast
CBC has been circling Shag Harbour for twenty-five years: 2001, 2010, twice in 2017, and again in 2026, when the last public witness of it died. Its Falcon Lake coverage goes back further still, to a 1983 segment on Take 30. Where an item is advocacy rather than reporting, that is said on the card. Players load on click, so this page does not pull a dozen trackers before you ask for one.

Watch it, and notice what the reporting leaves out
The pattern across 25 years of CBC coverage. Shag Harbour is the national reference point: the calls, the RCMP response, the divers, the foam. What the coverage almost never gives you is the 6 October 1967 National Defence memo stating the sighting was not aircraft, flares, floats or any other known object, and what a later memo from the same colonel meant by calling it an unidentified flying object.
The 1983 Falcon Lake segment is a different register. A researcher on a talk show describing an industrial mechanic's burns, sixteen years after the fact, with no documents in frame. It is the most-viewed Falcon Lake artefact in the CBC archive and one of the thinnest.
Advocacy versus reporting. The last card in the video grid argues the case for a crash at Shag Harbour. It is included because it is a good example of the genre: a confident conclusion, an unverified premise. Every file it cites is a real government memo; the reading of them is the author's.
