Baffin Island
A Nolinor Aviation Boeing 737-200 crew reported an unidentified object at 8:30 p.m. while flying from Iqaluit toward the Mary River mine. Transport Canada logged it, advised NORAD, and closed it as preliminary and unsubstantiated.
The record
The filing offered the usual menu of explanations - weather balloon, meteor, rocket, or an unidentified flying object - and NORAD was notified, as procedure requires when a civilian pilot reports something at altitude.
The flight was logged with no impact to operations. Transport Canada described the information as preliminary, unsubstantiated and subject to change, which is what an official record looks like when it stays inconclusive on purpose.
Nunavut has no case in this index other than this one. That imbalance is the finding: the federal file is thickest where witnesses are densest, and a territory with almost no population has almost nothing in it.
